Adult Workshops 

The Bruce Botanical Food Gardens hosts a variety of workshops throughout the season that are both fun and educational. Some of our past workshops include lavendar wreath making, guided meditation, salve and balm making, Comfrey tea and gourd birdhouses.

Kids Workshops 

Kids workshops are held every Thursday morning from 10am to 11am during July and August by donation (sugg. $5/kid). Visit our social media pages for the current list of workshops or bbfg.setmore.com to register!

Annual Plant Sale 

Every spring extra seeds and plants are made available by donation for the public to add to their own gardens.

Living Market

Fresh produce is available to harvest every Wednesday to Saturday from June to October and is offered by donation. Check out our social media pages for a weekly list of available produce or email gardenmanager@bbfg.org. Need help harvesting? Our friendly staff are available from 10am to 2pm Wednesday to Saturday to assist. Please bring your own bags/containers.

Mud Oven Demonstration

Learn about the construction and how to cook using our mud oven. Try delicious samples of flatbread cooked fresh along with interesting jams and jellies made for garden produce. Want to try cooking in our mud oven? Contact gardenmanager@bbfg.org for details. 

Special Garden Events

From time to time we host special events at the gardens. In the past we have celebrated with a community BBQ and games, snake appreciation day and a rabbit meet and greet. Check out our social media pages or email gardenmanager@bbfg.org for a list of events.
